Printervention in Nashville

Printervention ( a traveling exhibition I co-organized and curated with Chris Roberson & Ed Marszewski ) will be shown in Nashville in the coming weeks thanks to artist and friend Jes Owings. The show features social and political posters created specifically for the project and draws inspiration from the Works Progress Administration of the 1930’s when artists actually got paid by the government.

Printervention

I have been working long and hard with Chris and our buddy Ed Marszewski putting together a poster initiative this spring.

Printervention // Printing for the Public

Following the success of last years’ Version Festival program: the Bridgeport WPA pilot project, we have asked artists from around the country to create works that raise awareness of social and political issues of our day.
Printervention debuts April 16, 2010 at the The Chicago Tourism Center Gallery and continues through Version Festival to include workshops, a mobile silkscreen cart, a window display at The Whistler and more. For more information and a complete schedule of events and participants please visit www.printervention.org

(c)tas

The (Con)Temporary Art Space is a store, mapping center and exhibition space located downtown Chicago, 208 S Wabash. Because the space is temporary, we have an ambitious schedule of weekly shows, with an opening reception every Thursday. Images below are from our inaugural exhibition which featured work from all the (c)tas members. I did an installation in the display case gallery.
